Worldbuilding idea: luck magic, but it's not linked to time magic. If a roof tile is poorly secured, you can make it fall on someone's head. But you can't send your magic back in time to make the tile have been poorly secured when it was placed. You can only act on the probabilities in front of you.

Luck magic as a means of assassination is almost undetectable. But it requires watching the target for days, even weeks, looking for just the right spot of bad luck.
