This was significantly more coherent and intelligible than I expected. I think you might actually be able to map this one to the story beats in Save the Cat. (For reference, I thought I was going to read something like The Helmet of Horror.)

New least favorite trope: that thing in video games where there are 3-4 likable characters, and you’re supposed to pick one and help them kill all the others, and there’s no option to tell them you’re not going to help them kill each other. At least in Fallout 4, there was an ending path where you could spare the three decent characters and only kill the asshole.
