I’ve seen “this character is evil because they have narcissistic personality disorder,” “this character is evil because they have dissociative identity disorder,” an absolute shitload of “this character is evil because they have antisocial personality disorder,” and I swear I am not kidding about this, “this character is evil because they’re face blind.” I suppose it’s par for the course that Meta Runner eventually pulls “this character is evil because they have bipolar disorder.”

In college, I studied Business Management Economics. The name’s a bit misleading, because it’s not really for business managers. It’s for folks who have to talk to business managers. Given the assumption that your audience has no economic knowledge, how do you explain economics to them in a way they’ll understand?

I get why philosophers are so tetchy about the value of philosophy degrees. But if you want philosophy to be relevant to how people in general live their lives, not just how philosophers live their lives, you need to teach yourself a sort of Business Management Philosophy.

I’ve complained about when games don’t do tutorials because the devs think they can design the learning progression so elegantly you can figure everything out yourself, and then I have to look on the Internet to figure out how to continue the game. I’ve complained about when teachers don’t explain how to solve the problem because they think they’ve designed the curriculum so elegantly you can figure everything out yourself, and how I could never figure it out and had to beg for help anywhere I could find it. I just realized these are the same problem, and I’m starting to think there’s a neurodivergence involved.

I’ve found something worse than the Arknights ads. There’s an ad for a tower defense gacha called Path to Nowhere that asks whether you want to torture a woman or pat her on the head. I looked up a review of it on Pocket Gamer, and it didn’t say anything about torture, which seems like it would come up if it was in the game. (Also no word on whether it has headpats.)
