As much as I dislike A Prayer for Owen Meany, I respect the cosmic horror feeling it gives to Christianity. There’s an all-powerful being that will punish you according to cruel and misguided standards, and you’re lying to yourself if you claim everything it does is justified, but there’s nothing you can do to stop it anyway.

Looking at a cute porn game that’s up to version 0.31. Idly following another porn game that’s up to version 0.24. I have a porn game on my Steam wishlist that’s at 0.8.2, and another that’s “behind schedule” at 0.1.4. Do any of these things ever finish?

In some sense she does loves him, but she misses being the vampire lord and having all those other vampires to order around and intimidate, so he’s the one person she has left to order around and intimidate. He seems to me like he would have been fine with being dommed, and she could have just accepted and trusted in the authority he gave her. But she needs to prove to herself that he’ll fear and obey her, over and over again in increasingly cruel and pointless ways. Even more damningly, she can’t accept responsibility for her actions. She justifies, shifts the blame, or simply refuses to respond, and the closest she gets to admitting she did something wrong is saying she knows he thinks she hurt him.
