Huh. Turns out my favorite quote from Live a Live was largely manufactured by the fan translation. I still count it as a writing success. As a Garfield fan, I never expected to be terrified of a villain named Odie.
When I was young and innocent, I heard there was a godawful movie called Boxing Helena and assumed it was about sports. That was a nice misconception to have.
Something interesting my father noticed. We live a few towns south of San Francisco in a less-populated area. When rain is forecasted, it usually hits our house at the time the forecasters give for towns north of San Francisco. The storms come from the west, so I guess they might somehow split into a bigger northern branch and a smaller southern branch? I don’t know enough about weather to say more.
“Our bodies break down, sometimes when we're 90, sometimes before we're even born, but it always happens and there's never any dignity in it! I don't care if you can walk, see, wipe your own ass... it's always ugly, always! You can live with dignity; you can't die with it!” —House
