Thoughts on A Plague Tale: Requiem
Holy fuck that twist was vicious.
Nobody’s plan was right. The Order couldn’t keep the Macula under control. Amicia and Hugo couldn’t cure the Macula. The worshipers on the island couldn’t pray away the Macula. The only thing that “works” is to kill the Macula’s carrier, and the Macula will keep finding new carriers, because the damn thing is aware and wants to spread as wide as possible. I don’t know what a meaningful victory would even look like.
