Thinking about Mortal Kombat again

I can’t get over how the Mortal Kombat reboot went “which of these characters can be redeemed?” and answered “potentially any of them.” In the infinite multiverse, every tyrant, warlord, and mass murderer had some path to being a world-saving hero. That doesn’t mean they’re all redeemable in “our” world, or even most worlds, but none of them was born without any good in them.
