The hilarious thing about guess culture is how often it works. You want to tell your guest to go home, but it would offend them to say it outright, so you imply it instead. Not only do they go home, their feelings aren’t hurt! The pain specifically comes from hearing the words “go home,” not from having the concept “go home” communicated to you!
