Me to colleague who approves my invoices: “So, the late invoices came up in my performance review. Is [boss’s boss] aware of the delays?”

Him: “[Boss’s boss] is aware that I worked 67 hours last week and have been overloaded for months.”

My performance review also said I need to get better at talking to people.
