My grandmother used to own a circular potholder. It said

How many times in your life have you said “I’ll do it as soon as I get a round tuit?
Now’s your chance, now you can do it. Now at last you have a round tuit.

I’m not sure why a potholder would be a “tuit,” but I guess it’s clever anyway.

I read this story once where a guy hires a witch to make a woman fall in love with him. At the last second, he decides he’s not even into the woman, so he sabotages the spell to make the witch fall in love with him instead, and it’s treated as a happy ending. The witch didn’t seem remotely interested in him before the spell made her go all schmoopy for him. I guess if she’s okay with making people magically fall in love, then making her magically fall in love is acting within her moral code?
