Miscellaneous complaints about Devil May Cry 4

1): What is wrong with this camera? I’m moving left, and then suddenly the camera switches so that left is right and I’m moving the wrong way, so I fall to the bottom of a chasm. This kind of thing happens all the time.

2): Gloria is like Bayonetta on a budget, and she’s the first character I’ve seen who actually breasts boobily down the stairs. She looks like she has a spinal condition that forces her to lean her head back and thrust her chest forward.

3): It’s been four games. How do you not have a forward roll yet? Seriously, even Dark Souls lets you roll forward if you want to.

New Paradox Simulation:

“Only when facing enemy Originium Slugs and the like, does Vanilla hesitate. In response, Instructor Dobermann’s readied a harsh drill for Vanilla, so that she can be aware in the critical moment, on the battlefield, that she has more important things to protect.”

Then you kill 78 Originium Slugs. Ouch.

(If you don’t know, she keeps these things as pets.)

Let’s talk about Ptilopsis’s operator record. It’s theorized that her connection to Originium gives her dreams of past events:

“She stands atop a lofty mountain, and gazes down at everything before her. In front of her, a magnificent city collapses into a dazzling display of metallic dust. Towering steel structures melt like clay. In front of her, the shadow of a terrible colossus floats in the clouds above, the writhing darkness blotting out the sun and enveloping all. In front of her, anguished screams and desperate cries waft up from the city.”

Pretty vague, but it reminds me of Patriot’s prophecy about Amiya. Could there be a cycle here? Civilization builds up to a certain level, and then someone like Amiya gains enough power to bring it crashing down, and society has to rebuild from scratch?

Additionally, could tech like the sarcophagus and the landship come from the civilization Ptilopsis saw here?

Addendum: Kaschei seems pretty convinced that humanity needs his control. Is he trying to create a world where no one besides himself could amass enough power to destroy civilization?
