”If I don’t allow these people into my Tolkien fan group, they won’t read Tolkien” is a wild assumption. What happens is you don’t allow them into your Tolkien fan group, so they make a Tolkien fan group. Which they DID. It’s like if “we’re banning furries from our website” was assumed to prevent the existence of furries.
