Games made by a lot of people tend to have sprawling, unfocused themes, but Metaphor really lasers in on the different types of bad politicians and why it’s important to never elect them:

Two different religious conservatives

Anti-tax libertarian who’s never heard of economics

Useful idiot

Just mimics whatever a more popular candidate says

Wants to kill the rich, but is more likely to kill the rich’s servants

Very concerned about the moral failings of young people these days

Thinks he can just buy the election

Only in it to promote her business

Ecofascist

Racial minority candidate who’s genuinely good, but the political machine is built to keep him from ever getting elected

And looming over all of it, the incredibly popular guy who keeps saying he’ll help the poor and stamp out the oppressors, while obviously being an oppressor who gets poor people killed.
