Sometimes I think about how multiplicity would work in the Persona setting. I mean, there’s no reason to assume an entire system would have only one persona. So the active persona would most likely depend on who’s fronting. But Persona already has canonical characters who switch personas: wild cards, who’re “empty” inside and switch their behaviors depending on who they’re talking to. So from an outside perspective, wild cards and multiples would easily be mistaken from each other, despite a very different interior life.
I almost said that multiples would be well-suited to fighting the otherwise overpowered wild cards, but of course the solution to fighting one person is to send more than one person.
(But judging from the incredibly stereotypical multiple assassin in P5, I have zero faith in Persona’s ability to portray multiplicity well any time soon.)

I wrote a multi Persona 4 fic on request, and I remember basically doing it as each Persona reflecting a system member--with the exception of Teddie, who was singlet because his headmate had died under mysterious, probably awful circumstances.
So much research. NEVER AGAIN.
