Sometimes I remember the time I went in for a job interview, and I was surrounded by brown people except for the light-skinned interviewer. The interviewer said, apparently seriously, that I might feel isolated at this location because there was nobody else there.

I see brown people. Walking around. They definitely know they’re brown.
