It's interesting to think that accelerationists would absolutely hate my workplace. We consult with organizations that want to consume less energy, whether that means optimizing your wind farm, reworking your lighting system, or tracking your oil consumption to find and mitigate patterns of high usage. We don't care whether you're a school, a government, or a major corporate polluter, and we'll provide our guidance even to organizations that do a lot of harm in the world. (One of our customers seemingly can't stop leaking coal ash into waterways.)

An accelerationist might say that, by reducing these groups' expenditures, we're helping them continue to exist and turn a profit. But I don't think they would fail to function if we suddenly went away. They'd just use energy even faster, and give the world even less time to solve the problems that come from energy overusage. Even if these companies pollute, we're encouraging them to pollute a little less, appealing to their self-interest where conscience hasn't worked.
