Cannot overstate how much I hate trans fiction where some powerful being forces you to turn into a woman because you’re incapable of admitting you want it. My sense of spite ends up wanting the target to fight back and win. It matters to me that you choose what to do with your own body.

Bonus complaint inspired by a different story: I can’t believe we’re still doing the thing where you turn into a woman because you have a “woman’s soul.”

Thinking about that Libertarian I argued with who said stealing is inherently immoral even if you’re starving, but also said he would steal food if he was starving. Pressured, he eventually said someone else starving is “a you problem.”

When people talk about fascism as human nature, I respond the same way as when they talk about gender as human nature. When adults constantly reinforce it with threats of punishment, there’s no way to tell whether or not kids would pick up on it without punishment.

Quest said to go to Bloodshore and catch a fish that only comes near the shore at nighttime. FFXIV doesn’t tell you what kinds of fish are at what locations until you catch them, but it marks a ??? for fish that can only be caught at a certain time or with a certain weather condition. All the locations in Bloodshore have one ??? fish, so I figured they all had the fish I needed.

I caught fish after fish at North Bloodshore at night, none of them the one I needed. Then I gave up and looked at the wiki. The fish I needed are at a bunch of Bloodshore locations, but North Bloodshore has a completely different ??? fish with different requirements. Nothing in the game itself fucking told me I was wasting my time—all it said was to go to Bloodshore!
