Never, ever have sex with these people who think consent ruins sex.

The thing about Rotherham is, my positions are things like “I don’t like when black men get arrested for rapes it turns out they didn’t commit.” And that’s “PC,” and people point to Rotherham as why “PC” is bad. But I personally think you can arrest* proven child rapists and cut back on the number of false arrests. I’m not advocating for child rape, and I don’t think my personal positions lead to child rape. So my reaction to Rotherham is “What do you want me to say about it?”

*I’m not a prison abolitionist.

Thinking about that post that says people who haven’t lived through war crimes make light of war crimes but not sexual assault, because sexual assault might actually happen to them.

The Arknights fandom jokes a lot about its cast of thieves, terrorists, bank robbers, arms dealers, mafiosos, government enforcers, and general malcontents. But with the way Arturia’s powers work, it’s plausible she would cause someone to commit rape, right? She’s all about making people do things they want to do but haven’t done, and that’s confirmed to include murder and suicide. And I don’t think I’ve seen the fandom so much as discuss the rapey potential there, let alone joke about

What makes me spiteful isn’t that people think men are dangerous; it’s that they think women aren’t dangerous. The people who go “trust me, you’re safe with me, I’ll protect you from the bad people” keep turning out to be rapists, and women aren’t immune to that.

A lot of people would think the Pure are contradictory. They're very Christian, but also very Rationalist. They're superstitious, but they pay lip service to studying and finding things out for yourself. To me, they represent something specific.

Someone on social media said that wearing COVID masks made children forget how to smile. People asked her where she was getting this from, and she said she looked and saw it. It was bizarre, but it was her observation, and she wouldn't be dissuaded.

The Pure are the ultimate triumph of her way of looking at the world. The Pure are the treatment of one's subjective view as the true objective, rational view, with no room to doubt or reconsider. Whatever you know must be true, that's what you perceive, and because you perceive it, you know it must be true. Anything outside what you can imagine simply doesn't exist, and if it persists, you make it not exist. Any person who isn't part of your social order will be killed and forgotten, and it will be like they were never there.

When people use a cherry-picked study to argue that gay men are proven to be bad fathers, that's the Pure. When someone said trans women rape cis women all the time, but the mainstream media covers it up, that's the Pure. Hell, that RWBY fan who said it's morally bad to ship Yang and Blake, because it's obvious two people traumatized by the same abuser will inevitably retraumatize each other? They're small-scale, but they're still the Pure. The Pure are in every conspiracy theory, and every attempt to make the world "make sense" that pretends the world has an obligation to make sense to you.

For the sake of honesty, “transmisandry doesn’t exist” should be followed by “so I’m creating it.”

A comparison: when someone argues that it’s an exaggeration to say that women who accuse men of rape have their reputations destroyed. The inevitable followup is to attempt to destroy women’s reputations.
