Dec. 10th, 2023 01:37 pmI get that we’re going to endlessly legislate whether people’s Disney fanfics or whatever the fuck are “pedo porn” for the rest of my lifespan. But can we at least stop legislating what’s “incest porn”? I mean, “this person is a pedophile” is used to mean “this person will molest some hypothetical kid unless we imprison them.” But I’ve never seen “this person ships incest” used as an accusation that the person has or will molest any of their relatives. The only incest-related consequence I’ve ever seen proposed was a tweet claiming incest porn was why people elected that one politician who allegedly had sex with his sister, and that tweet was roundly mocked.

May. 28th, 2022 01:37 amThinking about the author’s notes on an incest story. The author said he was never into his family like that, but he based the characters on them because he didn’t know any other families well enough to write them. So he took the opportunity to add something for himself, too, by writing a version of his mother who was successful in her goals and wasn’t held back by sexism. I’m not sure if I should find that heartwarming or not.
In which I reopen old wounds
Apr. 23rd, 2020 08:47 amThere was a post I was trying to find from five years ago. I didn’t find it, but I did find an old post from mutual A about why incestuous couples shouldn’t have legal recognition. A acknowledged there are probably healthy incestuous couples out there, but said they can’t be prioritized over the harm incest does.
Mutual A is in a happy polyamorous relationship that continues to this day. Meanwhile, Mutual B just reblogged yet another post about why polyamorous couples shouldn’t have legal recognition. B acknowledges there are healthy polyamorous couples out there, but says they can’t be prioritized over the harm polyamory does.

Dec. 27th, 2018 07:30 pmAllow me to introduce my favorite character in Trillion: God of Destruction.
Her name is Elma, and she's the devil's little sister. She's been so sick all her life that she's never left the castle. On the surface, she seems like the most irrepressibly optimistic character, but watching the deaths of those who fight Trillion throws her into greater and greater despair. She wants to be well enough to fight or train or do anything to help, and she's afraid that she's nothing but a burden.
It takes two separate artifacts and a truckload of magical energy to make her playable. Even then, she never loses the IV bag, and she starts her training from a point of weakness and inexperience. But even defeat and failure brings a smile to her face, because she's finally strong enough to try. To grow. To be the Underworld's shining light, and bring happiness to its people, just as so many people brought happiness to her.
Her ending involves proposing marriage to her brother, because Compile Heart hates you and will destroy everything you love.

The cycle of life and death has been broken. The souls of the dead vanish, and the living are born hollow and empty. Society decays without a new generation, while the survivors squabble over who or what caused this. But by chance or fate, you may have stumbled across the real culprit …
