One person on Tumblr: "What do you think of the idea that [terrible take]?"

The reply: "That idea is actively triggering to me and I don’t want to get into an argument about it."

I used to post on the same forum as someone who described evolution as their "berserk button." They thought the beauty and wonder of God's creation was so obvious, anyone trying to explain evolution to them made them intensely angry.

Even your triggers aren't revealed truth. Sometimes the things they make you believe are wrong.

I'm deliberately NOT aiming this at the major pro-ship accounts, because I don't think I can change their minds.

They generally agree the art that was going around of one person's OC strangling another person's OC was a personal threat against another user, and therefore not acceptable. They also generally agree that RPF is acceptable because the famous person doesn't have to see it.

What if the famous person IS a user? Comics writer Ralph Hayes Jr. was (is?) an anti in the My Little Pony fandom. There was fic directly mocking him. I think Hayes should have had room to say "don't mock me in your fic." Or if Hayes doesn't have that room, then neither does the pro-shipper whose OC got strangled. I don't think people knowing your name gives you less rights than people not knowing your name.
