A dumb Arknights thought

Manticores are lion-scorpion-things. What if the manticores in Arknights are a mix of the Aslan and some race of scorpion-people? So when the dust settles and no Aslan or Draco claims the throne of Victoria, the new king ends up being

This thought isn’t really going anywhere, but: the things I dislike about postmodernism can be divided into a much larger part and a much smaller part. The much larger part is metafiction. The much smaller part maps almost 1-to-1 with “things people quote or reference when they say Kill Six Billion Demons is awesome and everyone should read it.” Everything people want to promote about that series just rubs me the wrong way.

In response to a post about negotiating like a diplomat

The perfect win for a diplomat would be “my country gets everything, and your country gets nothing.” A diplomat can propose more than they think they’ll get away with, but they can’t really propose more than they want. But I’m not a diplomat, and I’m not trying to benefit a country or a faction. If I propose that something is the best choice for everyone involved, it’s because I actually think it’s the best choice for everyone involved, with no intention to rip anyone off.
