An Arknights thought

The Doctor is a power fantasy, but the thing that makes them unique is that they’re an autistic power fantasy. They don't talk much, but they're a good listener, so they end up with a lot of friends. They don't seem to be adept at "reading" people on an emotional level, but they can get incredible insight into social situations just by asking the right questions and making logical predictions about what motivations and actions are in play. Their hyperfixation on all things Originium lets them do everything from treat diseases to navigate hurricanes. They can violate norms through their atypical gender expression, and everyone’s fine with that, because that’s just how the Doctor is. They’re a little weird, a little goofy, and still the center of their own story.
