feotakahariI only picked up Bugsnax because the ending was spoiled for me, and it sounded so cool that I wanted to see how it played out. I gotta say, they really laid the foreshadowing on THICK.
Snaktooth Island is infamous for how many ships go missing nearby. Multiple civilizations have risen and fallen on the island, and they don't seem to have left any survivors or record of how they fell. One civilization left their dead out rather than burying them, because the bodies always disappeared. For that matter, you can find the shells of sea creatures, but they're always scoured of all flesh before they make it to shore. And Floofty's research! He figures out that all Bugsnax are fundamentally composed of the same substance, just manifested into different shapes. For that matter, he speculates on whether he would still be Floofty if he ate enough Bugsnax to replace every cell in his body, or if he would just be a roughly Floofty-shaped Bugsnax.
