I was thinking about how every time Thathopeyetlives posts about his Catholic faith, rationalists show up to say he supports genocide and child abuse. I got to wondering about why he still engages with rationalists when he knows he’ll always be shouted down. I thought maybe he was holding out on the chance that he’d change someone’s mind someday, even if it’s not today. Then I realized that his hope yet lives.
