I don’t understand why Fire Emblem Engage has so much dialogue when there’s so little effort put into making any of it good. It’s like each character expresses the emotion the writers want you to feel, without any consideration for how to set you up to feel that. Like when the main character’s mother dies, there’s this interminably long mourning scene, but the mother barely got any characterization to begin with, so it’s mourning a cipher.
