There’s a Tumblr post saying Othello could have solved the plot of Hamlet and Hamlet could have solved the plot of Othello.

Stephen Sondheim thought Hamlet’s mirror was Sweeney Todd. “They’re both eaten up by revenge. Hamlet can’t quite take the action, so he is consumed in an existentialist way, Sweeney in a very active way.”

I cannot begin to imagine Hamlet in the plot of Sweeney Todd.

Person A: we need lesbian separatist communes that aren’t TERFy.

Person B, a TERF with “womb” in her username: “Good luck with that.”

I think B is right about this one. The concept of separatism doesn’t really work unless you have a binary worldview where everyone can be classified as “okay to interact with” and “not okay to interact with.” If there’s someone who, say, identifies as a man sometimes and a woman other times, I don’t think you can maintain a separatist mindset unless you either go “I will never interact with this person” or “this person is a confused woman who only thinks she’s a man.”

I lied. I’m still posting about Blood is Mine

Since Blood is Mine is an interactive comic, it doesn’t really describe what the protagonist does. She just does X or says words expressing X, and the exact details are left to your imagination.

But based on some of the things other people say, I have a pretty good guess/headcanon on how she acts. She talks in a relatively flat tone, and focuses more on conveying facts than emotions. She probably doesn’t move her hands when she talks. She may tend to stare straight ahead rather than make eye contact. She walks kinda herky-jerky like a puppet on strings. She has an odd sense of humor and makes jokes the other characters don’t really get. Overall, she seems less like she’s actually in her own body, and more like she’s maneuvering it from somewhere else.

She’s an unambiguously good and heroic person who wants to save as many lives as she can.

(Neurodivergence is also why I like the Doctor from Arknights, although their heroism is more grey.)
