Thoughts on Wrath of the Righteous so far. Early-game spoilers:

I have nothing to say about the Paladin. She’s a Paladin. You know what kind of character she is.

The girl who’s pretending she’s not Chaotic Evil would have a much easier time of it if the game didn’t throw out a no-no anytime I try to level her in a Lawful or Good class. And if she didn’t constantly yell about sacrificing her enemies to the spirits. I like her, and I hope she doesn’t betray me.

The half-reptile dude has the weirdest build. He’s good at archery, but also good at punching people in the face? At least now I know the class for that archer/martial artist in Daughter of the Lillies.

The spider chick is cool, and “I will commit any atrocity to save my people” is a decent motivation. But it seems like you can only keep her if you institute murder and cannibalization of aasimar civilians as an official policy of your army. Yikes.

The rich dude is one aasimar I wouldn’t mind feeding to the cannibal. It’s kinda funny how he learned to heal because he kept injuring himself doing stupid shit, but everything else is just NO. I think he’s gonna quit if I don’t use him as an active party member, and I‘m inclined to let him.

Every story the thief tells is about how he betrayed an ally. I have concerns for the longevity of this partnership.

The homeless girl is a happiness pump, and she’s going to either get herself killed, or finally hit her breaking point and fly into the biggest rage explosion known to man.

The scientist is funny, but both her and the thief destroy scrolls to learn spells, and the thief is more useful. I’ll probably follow her sidequest anyway.

It worries me that the talking sword appears to be missable if you don’t get the thief. I completely missed two of the Kingmaker companions, and I’d like to make sure I at least find everyone this time, even if I don’t keep them.

I love how when you first meet the religious leader, if you have the homeless girl in your party, you get both lawful and chaotic responses to just kill him and get it over with. He’s offensive to every alignment.

The mythic path for Lawful Neutral presents a vision of an ideal future, and it’s boring as hell. They want to stop extraplanar invasion, but they also want to stop trade and help that’s freely given. They want every plane walled off to stagnate on its own.

The Chaotic Good mythic path gives me some real morphological freedom vibes.

The Chaotic Neutral path looks like a fun way to humiliate your enemies, but I’m not sure I could consistently pick Chaotic options rather than Good ones.

#1 glitch I want fixed: if you’re riding a horse, and you try to pick up an object somewhere too cramped for it, you’re stuck and can’t take any other action until you dismount. Harmless, but irritating.
