When a story ends with the hero and the villain being sealed together for all eternity, I want to see what that’s like on the millionth day of forever. Your personalities are so divergent that you shouldn’t be capable of bonding with each other, but sheer proximity means you have to bond to some extent. You still get on each other’s nerves without even trying, but you no longer see any malevolence in it—that’s just how you are. Of course you have furious hatesex sometimes, and it’s all the more frustrating because the sex is actually good. Shouldn’t you be incompatible, if you hated each other enough to trap each other like this?
