feotakahariIf you think about it, every character in Elden Ring who’s associated with an ending is sinister in some way, and then only one of the endings is really “evil.”
Gold Mask and Fia want a world that’s better than the prior status quo, albeit in different ways. Ranni’s ending is neutral, allowing both good people and people like Dung Eater to do as they please without the laws of karma hanging over their heads. Shabriri and Hyetta are the ones that get the most “do not do this; it is a terrible idea” foreshadowing, and then it turns out they want to force everyone to attain nirvana. And then Dung Eater acts loathsome, is loathsome, and his ending is shit.
