One good idea in Hack/Slash: there’s this town that’s pretty clearly supposed to be the Archie Comics town, only they can’t say that for copyright reasons. A monster that feeds off of stories rewrites the town’s genre into horror. Archie puts a gun to his head and tells her she won’t have a story anymore if the protagonist dies.
