In any ending where the emperor maintains control of the country, you die and horrible things happen. If the corrupt rebels win, you die and horrible things happen. If you take out the lot of them, you die and the country is taken over by brutal warlords. You can end up destroying time, destroying space, or sealed away until the sun devours the world. And somehow, you need to find the one path that will get you through this alive and free.
