I’m years late to the party here, but Angels of Death is some wild shit. I mean, you’ve got this bitter bastard who obsessively murders happy people because he can’t stand that some lives are less shitty than his own. He starts off working for the villains because they let him kill whoever he wants, and his introduction is cutting a live bird in half with a scythe. Within this plot structure, he functions as something akin to a romance novel hero.
