Person who’s 17 years, 11 months old asked if they could interact with an 18+ blog.
Blogger: “there is a real life puppy behind this account who is EXTREMELY uncomfortable with the idea of minors interacting. please. if you are a minor reading this and you respect me At All, leave. now. please. for me.”
This seems profoundly unhealthy.
(Then she started talking about why minors shouldn’t RP sex with adults, which is a giant leap.)

Date: 2024-04-19 08:33 pm (UTC)I'd respect "minors DNI" culture more if it was more clearly purely a concession to politically/socially powerful sex-negative adultist conservatives, done with a clear attitude of "I don't like doing this, but I'm doing it to preserve my own safety." But I get the vibe that a lot of the people with "minors DNI" on their headers are true believers in it.
Increasingly leaning toward the position that if I set up an NSFW blog I'm just going to be open about having a posture of solidarity toward minors who want to use it to have sexual pleasure and do sexual exploration on their own terms. It's hard to imagine a safer way for a teenager to do that than browsing a horny blog, an experience over which they have total control, and, like, I'm going to ask that minors please not try to flirt with me or anything like that but if they want to talk to me I'm going to have normal human conversation with them. Somebody should take a stand and not pay the Danegeld (https://www.kiplingsociety.co.uk/poem/poems_danegeld.htm) and I suspect "OMG they admitted they're OK with 16 year olds jacking off to their tit pics that's like PEDOPHILIA and GROOMING!" culture gets a lot of its strength from bluff.
