I’ve been reading Prophecy Approved Companion. And since I gave Ouroborous so much flack, I want to say that this is a much, much better critique of the trope of the cutesy, innocent white mage who’s a childhood friend of the hero. She sees her own weaknesses and evolves out of them while keeping her core.
