Interesting how Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has villains who are essentially vampiric, but avoids most of the traits that would normally be used to make vampires compelling and/or sympathetic. It’s got the thing where you become a vampire because you’re bullied or abused and want the power to never be hurt again, but that’s about it. The token good vampire who mourns the mortal friends he outlived is a senile old man, not a brooding bad boy, and vampirism itself is portrayed as disgusting.
