A lot of intelligent species can eat you, but not that many of them will.

 

Scholars can eat you to revive your consciousness within the hive mind, but assuming a fast and clean conversion, your thoughts and memories remain intact. So the experience of eating a terrified victim would be traumatizing to them as well. Helping you cheat death is better done on a volunteer basis.

 

Transporters can eat you, but they’ll probably barf you back out later. This is more a matter of societal taboos—it’s obviously frowned on to kill each other, and most of them consider you a person as well.

Winnowers can eat you, but don’t feel any compulsion to. They have plenty of food sources already. Still, try not to get trapped with one in a starvation situation.

The really far-gone Prowlers will eat you, because they barely qualify as sapient by that point. You’re not a Prowler, and you’re not a predator that outclasses them, so you must be prey. Their brains are too damaged to remember other categories.

Saboteurs just want to eat the rich.
