I just realized that other people interpreted Slay the Princess as a game about slaying the Princess. This didn’t even occur to me.

I thought of it as a game about slaying, abandoning, or futilely attempting to rescue a succession of princesses, each of whom inevitably gets eaten by something bigger than herself. So I already wanted to kill the big Princess for killing some of the smaller princesses I thought deserved better. Apparently, I was supposed to think of the big Princess as the smaller princesses?
