These bossfights are so unfair if you don’t go in with the right equipment.

Here’s a giant snake monster whose attacks poison and instantly break magic barriers. If it attacks a character who’s already poisoned, it heals and gains another charge to build up its giant fuck-you attack. Then halfway through the fight, it covers the entire battlefield with poison, and after every action any of your characters take, every character either loses a layer of barrier or else gets poisoned if there’s no barrier left.

You can spam barrier spells, antidotes, and MP-restoring items while you wear the damn thing down. Or you can reload your save and equip poison immunity gear.
