Imagine a world where most decent-paying jobs require a physical fitness test. It’s taken as a given that anyone can pass the test, but it weeds out lots of people with disabilities. If you point out that the test has nothing to do with the work you want to do, people say you don’t understand the purpose of the test.

So no, I don’t give a shit about cheating in college.

People set up that situation to develop. They started pushing everyone to attend college, but didn't make it free like public education at lower levels. And after college, employers tend to care about paperwork rather than demonstrable skills. When you're spending huge amounts of money for a pass to apply for jobs, and it's unlikely you'll be tested on the material again later, and your survival depends on getting that paperwork so you can get a job -- of course people will cheat. And of course rich parents will cheat their children into college. These are obvious outcomes of the choices already made.
