There’s this Goosebumps book I read when I was a kid. Not the original run; one of the spin-off series. It’s about a girl who’s menaced by an evil insect-man who’s slowly transforming her into an insect-girl for reasons I don’t remember. Even after she kills him, she still turns into an insect-girl, but she doesn’t mind, because she likes being able to climb trees with the sticky pads on her hands.

I could tell that this story was supposed to be creepy. But even as a kid, I thought being an insect-girl sounded pretty cool.
