I respect the level of effort put into Project Moon’s worldbuilding, but I feel like the term “shitdark” was made to describe the end result. This shit makes Warhammer 40K look idealistic and hopeful.

I got sick of dealing with this game's bullshit, so I just looked up the ending. It turns out it IS possible to make this setting more depressing and hopeless that it already was. Then in the sequel, you play as the villain and make it even worse, because fuck you.

Nothing There is a Karen.

"And the many shells cried out one word, ‘Manager.’"

CENSORED: the monster's name, and also everything you'll say after attempting to deal with it.

The Scarecrow doesn't like people who are too smart. If you send anyone to work with it who has 3 or more Prudence, it breaks containment and starts killing people. But low Prudence means low max sanity, and it drains the sanity of anyone who works with it. If it drops someone's sanity to zero, it breaks containment and starts killing people. It's very sensitive to meltdowns, and if a meltdown occurs, you have only a short time to send someone to deal with it before it breaks containment and starts killing people. It takes reduced physical damage and reduced sanity damage, deals both physical and sanity damage at the same time, and heals itself every time it kills someone.

This thing is considered mid-tier. Do I even want to know what the higher-tier monsters are like?
