Actual post I just saw: "The 'lesser evil' argument is straight up racist, especially towards black and indigenous people."

Don't get me wrong. I hate being called racist. But I think I would be even more offended if someone thought I was the kind of person who doesn't believe in supporting the lesser evil. If you're willing to define "racist" such that it includes people who support the lesser evil, then I will wear "racist" as a badge of fucking pride. (And I still won't believe in treating people differently based on their skin color, but since you've established that's not what you're using "racist" to mean . . .)

The R vs D discourse really is starting to come down to "if you support the Democrats at all, you're wholeheartedly endorsing everything bad they've ever done, and if you criticize them at all you're wholeheartedly endorsing everything bad Republicans have ever done, there is no third option and also you're pure evil for not picking the third option you don't have".
