Thinking about Fallout 4 again

The first time you meet Hancock, he shanks a dude right in front of you. It seems like this is his “Han shot first” moment to show that he’s a dangerous person and you shouldn’t let your guard down around him. Then if you get to know him, he turns out to be an absolute sweetheart by this game’s standards. Fallout 4 just happens to be a game where you kill people every time you walk down the street.

People get confused when I talk about my one-sided ships, where I find it interesting to see one character in love that will never get returned. I’ve figured out an example that might make more sense to people. Xander -> Buffy would lose all appeal if Buffy was actually into Xander.

(I think the quintessential Xander and Buffy song is “If I Was Invisible.” I’ve heard that song referred to as “the stalker national anthem.”)
