Thinking about that time loops post. For me, the power of the time loop as a trope is absolute refusal. It’s trying everything you can think of to avert disaster, failing, and thinking of more things to try that will probably fail, because you’re incapable of giving up. It’s realizing you’re boned on every possible level and not letting that stop you. It’s clinging to the tiniest scrap of hope with bloody and trembling fingers.
