Manafinder has a giant wall of status resistances you can upgrade one at a time, and it exemplifies a particular problem I have with a lot of RPGs. I have no way of predicting what upgrades will be relevant. I don’t want to get petrified, but how many enemies can petrify? Drown sounds pretty bad, but am I going to be fighting a lot of water monsters? I chose freeze resistance and haven’t met a single monster I needed it against, so I might as well have not gotten that upgrade point at all.

Last night’s dream: the Joker wrote a manifesto about the pains of life and the freedom that comes from nihilism. Its arguments made little sense and even contradicted each other, but there was a surprising amount of emotion to them, and people started to say the Joker had the right idea.

Bruce Wayne released a personal piece about the loss of his parents, his struggles with depression, and why the Joker’s worldview ultimately wasn’t worth it.

Cut to the rest of the Justice League baffled that Batman would speak out like this under his “brainless rich guy” persona. His defense was that he only had so many identities prepared, and this would make even less sense coming from Matches Malone.

Remember when Amazon had this thing called Strike? You had to pay for a Prime Video subscription to even be eligible to buy it, and then you had to pay the Strike subscription on top of that, and then you'd finally be able to watch Re:Creators without pirating? Got killed off five years ago because everyone hated it? It's called Max now, and it costs twice as much. Fuck, I just wanted to watch My Adventures With Superman.
