He still loves you, you know. He thinks you’re brainwashed or some shit. You and your new friends try your best to kill him, and he tries his best to save you.
It’s breaking him, seeing you like this. He can’t forget you, he can’t escape you, and he won’t defeat you. Sooner or later, he’s going to get himself killed trying to bring you back. And I owe him too much to let him make his own terrible choices.
It would hurt him to learn of your death. So I won’t leave enough of you to find.
