There’s only one case in the entire game that could really be called a fair mystery. In retrospect, I got the right culprit for a completely wrong reason.
When Sammy is questioned, a gust of wind knocks over a sign. I figured he panicked at the questioning and lost control of his magic. Sure enough, he’s the killer.
Much, much later, the characters realize that the witch never gives the killers the ability to directly use magic. All spells are always cast by the witch on their behalf. So I executed an eight-year-old over a random gust of wind. (Granted, an eight-year-old cannibal murderer . . .)
