My job is described as “accounting,” but the only thing my accounting classes did was get me in the door. I’m not even sure you need a high school education for this work—it’s all about whether you notice that a 69 on one spreadsheet is a 96 on another. Still, they wanted a college degree, so I spent the money to get one, because I was lucky enough to have money to spend.
