Scrapyard Station: Kill It With Fire

One time, Coalition forces tried to knock a Parasite planet into the nearest sun. This required a creative application of FTL links and a truly impressive amount of force, but it was a good way to test whether Parasites could be killed.
The Parasite froze the sun.
All that heat energy didn't go anywhere. It simply vanished, energy destroyed but not created. The Parasite hit a frozen lump of hydrogen and bounced off like a rubber ball, none the worse for wear.
That is the scale of the threat the Coalition is dealing with.
(Like all spacefaring races, Parasites stay far, far away from black holes.)
