Reading spoilers for a manga I’ll never read: each of the secondary love interests sees visions of the life they might have with the protagonist, and he sees all of them. In each vision, he’s unhappy because he misses the main love interest. In the end, he marries the main love interest, but every secondary love interest drifts away sooner or later and stops speaking to him.

Fandom was pissed the fuck off. Honestly, I would be too. What’s the point of one romance if it costs you six friendships?
